Awkwafina

Awkwafina, an American actor and singer, began by releasing a humorous rap track which dealt with the subject of sexuality and race. Her career expanded to Hollywood after she released an album of raps. Born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrants within Forest Hills Queens her first experience with music came via trumpet. She also received classical and jazz training later becoming a hip-hop teenager. In college, she studied journalism and women's studies. She even spent a short time studying Mandarin at the University of Beijing. The focus on music until she graduated.
