Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is a popular American performer and actress. She is a Michigan native born and raised by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) as well as Tom Bell (a TV news director). Kristen is from Polish descent (mother) in addition to German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen found her talent within the industry of entertainment in her early years. Her audition was in 1992 and was offered the role of Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell aged 13 when her mother signed up for an agent, was cast on ads on newspapers and TV. She also started taking acting lessons in private at the age of 13. Bell played a small part, uncredited for her part in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School and was a member of the music club and drama clubs. In her school's stage production The Wizard of Oz, Bell won the role of Dorothy. Bell went to the Tisch School of the Arts which she attended to study Musical Theater at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City. Bell quit the school in 2001 and assumed the role of Becky who is a character from Tom Sawyer. Her first film credits in Pootie Tang in 2001. However, her scene cut, and her only appearance is in the final credits. Bell made an appearance alongside Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson, and The Crucible Broadway performance of The Crucible in 2002.
