
Cynthia Ann Crawford (born February 20 1965) is an American model and actress as well as a television star. She was a model and a popular figure on magazines' covers, runways, and fashion advertisements in the 1990s and the 1980s. Later, she ventured into acting and also started a business. In her sophomore year of high school, she was contacted by an email from a local retailer about modeling opportunities which she later discovered was a prank by two of her peers. Crawford was employed by a different retailer the following year to model for them. The store also hosted an fashion shoot. Roger Legel, a local photographer approached Crawford to take her picture. He was the one responsible for taking a picture of another college girl for DeKalb Nite Weekly. Crawford was selected as the first photo shoot. She was enticed to try modeling after the favorable feedback and photos she received. She initially worked for an agency that was small, and was sold to Elite Model Management shortly after she signed. At 17 years old she took part in Elite's Look of the Year contest and advanced to the national finals.
